Project Overview
BrandForge is an AI-powered mockup generator that allows designers, entrepreneurs, and creators to instantly visualize their logos on real-world products. By simply uploading a logo and selecting from a variety of mockup categories, users can generate branded visuals without needing traditional design software.
The goal of the project was to simplify the process of creating brand mockups and make it possible to generate professional visualizations quickly. Instead of manually editing mockup templates in software like Photoshop, BrandForge automates the process through AI image generation, allowing users to produce multiple mockups in just a few minutes.
The Problem
When designers present branding concepts, mockups play a crucial role in helping clients visualize how a brand will appear in real-world contexts. However, creating these mockups can be time-consuming. Designers often have to download template files, open them in complex design software, and manually place logos onto products.
This process slows down creative exploration and makes it difficult to quickly test multiple branding ideas. For entrepreneurs or non-designers, the barrier is even higher because the tools required to create mockups are often difficult to learn. I wanted to create a tool that removes these barriers and allows anyone to generate high-quality brand mockups instantly.
The Solution
BrandForge solves this problem by using AI image generation to create realistic branded product visuals from a single uploaded logo. Users begin by uploading their logo, then select from a variety of mockup categories such as hoodies, tote bags, laptops, and other branded items.
The platform then generates AI-powered mockups based on the selected categories. Users can choose multiple mockup types at once, allowing them to quickly explore how their brand might appear across different products.
Depending on how many mockups a user selects, the generation process typically takes around two minutes, after which users receive a set of visual assets ready for presentation, marketing, or concept development.
Design Process
The design process began by thinking through the simplest possible user experience for generating mockups. I wanted the workflow to feel fast and intuitive so that users could move from idea to visualization in just a few steps.
The final user flow was designed around three primary actions: uploading a logo, selecting the types of products the user wants to visualize, and generating mockups. By keeping the interaction flow minimal, the tool removes unnecessary complexity and allows users to focus on exploring their brand across different products.
I also conducted multiple rounds of informal user testing to ensure the interface was easy to understand. Observing how people interacted with the tool helped refine the workflow and improve clarity within the interface.
Technology
BrandForge was built using a combination of modern web technologies and AI-assisted development tools. The interface and application structure were created using Lovable, while prompt engineering with ChatGPT and Gemini was used to generate the development logic needed for the platform.
The project also integrates AI image generation to create realistic branded mockups from uploaded logos. This allows the platform to dynamically generate new visuals rather than relying on static template files. This hybrid development workflow allowed for rapid iteration and experimentation while still producing a fully functional web application.
Outcome
BrandForge successfully demonstrates how AI can be used to streamline the branding and mockup creation process. By reducing the need for manual template editing, the platform allows users to quickly generate professional visual assets that would normally require significantly more time and design expertise.
